Overview

01

Trendex lets fans own a piece of their favourite athletes: a web3 sports platform, Y Combinator-backed, built around official imagery of top football and basketball players.

Over two years I owned the whole visual world: the identity, the app, the investor decks, the landing pages, the social, and the official player Fan Passes, end to end.

Scope

Identity, app, investor decks, landing pages and Fan Pass

Influence

Set the bar that convinced investors and athletes alike

The problem

02

Web3 and elite sport are a hard marriage. Crypto identity screams hype and risk; official athlete partnerships demand prestige and trust. Trendex had to feel legitimate enough for a footballer to post on his own feed, and credible enough for investors to wire millions, at the same time.

€5M
raised, with the pitch decks and landing pages I laid out and designed. The company raised it; the layout and design were mine.

Research & approach

03

The hard part wasn't making it look good, it was making two worlds coexist: web3, which signals hype and risk, and elite sport, which demands prestige and trust. So I built one visual world strict enough to hold both, the logo, the electric-green accent, the dark-stadium palette, and a Fan Pass style premium enough to sit next to a Ballon d'Or without ever reading as crypto. Then I applied that single system to everything, the Fan Pass app, the investor decks, a landing page per star, the social. The test was public and demanding: convince institutional money in a deck, and get posted by the athletes on their own feeds.

  • Two worlds, one systemWeb3 screams hype; elite sport demands trust. I built one visual world strict enough to hold both, so nothing on the platform ever tipped into crypto cliché.
  • Premium over cryptoA Fan Pass style premium enough to sit next to a Ballon d'Or, credible for the athletes lending their image. The electric-green accent and dark-stadium palette read as sport, never as a token.
  • One system, every surfaceThe same world runs the Fan Pass app, the investor decks, a landing page per star and the social. Defined once, applied across two years of the platform's growth.

Design decisions

04
Trendex, design decision 1
The product

Make owning a Fan Pass feel like a game.

The Fan Pass app where fans collect official player Fan Passes, climb tournaments and unlock rewards. The whole experience, not just a checkout.

Trendex, design decision 2
The deck

Make the bet look inevitable.

Investor decks that framed web3 sport as prestige, not speculation.

Trendex, design decision 3
The landing

A page per star.

One landing page per star: a neon-Miami world for Suárez, a red one for Modrić. Each one turns a player's own audience into Fan Pass holders.

Decision 04

The screens

05

One art direction, drop after drop.

Outcomes

06

Real proof, on the record.
