RIPS
A fictional app imagined in under a week to buy packs, rip them open and collect the cards, Pokémon, NFL, soccer or basketball. The goal: the most exciting opening experience possible, fast.

Overview
RIPS is a fictional app for buying packs, opening them and collecting the cards inside, whether Pokémon, NFL, soccer or basketball. Imagined in under a week.
The goal: create the most exciting pack opening possible in a short time, and use it to experiment with a new process, with Blender and GPT6 Astra.
Imagined, designed and prototyped the whole concept
App UI, 3D packs, opening animation and a live prototype
A new fast process: Blender, GPT6 Astra, prototype and Figma in a loop
The problem
Opening the pack is the moment collectors come back for. The challenge was to make that moment as exciting as possible, in a very short time.
Research & approach
A new process, built for speed: the packs and their motion made in Blender, the build pushed with GPT6 Astra, and a constant back and forth between two tools. A real prototype to test the interactions in hand, and a Figma file to refine the UI and the design in detail.
- 3D in BlenderThe packs, their foil and their tear, modelled and animated in Blender so the rip feels physical.
- A real prototypeBuilt with GPT6 Astra to test the interactions in hand: drag to rotate, pull the tab to rip.
- Figma for the detailBack to Figma between rounds to refine the UI, the tiers and every screen in detail.
Flow
Design decisions

Three tiers, one visual language.
Starter, Pro and Elite each get their own art direction, cold blue, fire orange and holographic black, across Pokémon, NFL, soccer and basketball. You know what you're ripping before you rip it.
The screens
A real prototype, from the first pick to the binder.

The rip in four beats, picking a universe and a tier, the binder and the exchange, the pack carousel and the three levels, captured in the live prototype
Outcomes
One of the most impressive prototypes I've made, for so little working time.
The most exciting rip I could make, in under a week.
